Chi mai avrebbe pensato che avrei pubblicato un post come questo sul mio blog, un blog dedicato principalmente a tutorial di oggettistica per la casa e per il wedding? 

Invece, la situazione che stiamo vivendo mi ha portato a fare ricerche su quali siano le caratteristiche dei vari materiali e quali siano più adatti per la realizzazione di mascherine per uso personale, non medico, ovviamente quindi non DM (Dispositivi Medici), né DPI (Dispositivi di Protezione Individuale).

Natale a "La Radice e il Frutto"

A parte i due tutorial delle Palline Trasparenti Decorate e dei Decori a rilievo, avrete notato che ultimamente non sono stata molto attiva sul blog, né sui social, ma non sono stata con le mani in mano, tutt’altro! Da un paio di mesi sono impegnata in una nuova collaborazione che occupa gran parte della mia giornata, ma che mi diverte molto e mi da tanta soddisfazione.

Yiota è una creatrice inglese che crea e distribuisce online schemi e kits ispirati principalmente alle opere d'arte di famosi pittori, da Klimt a Degas, da Veermer a Van Gogh, da Michelangelo a Leonardo e molti altri ancora e scene vittoriane.

Today I'd like to introduce you to the cross stitch kits by Yiotas XStitch (http://www.yiotas-xstitch.com/).
Yiota is an English cross stitch designer who designs and sells online cross stitch designs and kits inspired mostly from fine art masters and the Victoria era. 

Trovo interessanti soprattutto i kits di Yiotas XStitch.
Mi piacciono molto gli schemi, che sono belli grandi (fogli formato A3), con simboli molto chiari in bianco e nero, ben decifrabili. Vengono forniti filati Madeira (ma sullo schema viene data anche la conversione ai colori DMC), arrotolati singolarmente su robuste farfalline di cartone e chiaramente numerati. Vengono anche fornite chiare istruzioni, utili soprattutto per le ricamatrici meno esperte. Quasi tutti i kit possono essere forniti, a scelta, con tela aida o tessuto a fili contati.

I find very interesting especially the kits by Yiotas XStitch.
I like the patterns, that are very big (A3 papers), with clear black and white symbols you can read very easily. All kits are supplied with Madeira cotton threads (but all  patterns give both Madeira and DMC thread numbers) pre-wound on strong card bobbins clearly numbered. Detailed instructions are supplied, very useful especially for less expert stitchers. Almost every kit can be supplied with 14 count aida or 28 count evenweave.
